The Gift of Life

The world has no lack of people attempting to get ahead in life, but not knowing Life’s Source. Abundant Life is a Person. We can only live successfully, in His eyes, through a vital connection with Him. The rest of our human striving is existence!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6

Here is our personal experience with the Person of Life:

LIFE is a Person, a Relationship, a Purpose, and a Destiny.

It comes through the right knowledge applied through the right understanding by following the right wisdom. It’s not self, but Christ-conscious.

It’s not to prove that we’re right, but to express ourselves from our place in Him (Who is always right).

Life is to be fully loved and to love. Life rests in LOVE.

Its Destination is NOW! It can only be experienced fully in the moment, every moment of every day.

It never settles at an arrival point. True life is abundant and releases great joy. It’s never disappointed.

LIFE’S ONLY AGENDA is to BE aligned with and participating in what has already been finished by Christ.

It always expresses its essence by expressing God’s love. Life sings and laughs and shines!

It takes risks but is never driven by fear.

Life is the mastery of relationship, not the control of outcome. It comes as we detach ourselves from the outcome and focus on the process and journey into deepening relationship.

Life is always in a perpetual state of worship, regardless of circumstance.

Life is about creative innovation through an ongoing experience with our Creator. It’s not owned or controlled by anyone else. Its only Source is God.

Life enjoys every mission.

Life is never about grasping or hoarding, but believing and experiencing, and transforming.

Life never has to make a name or prove. It is peace, so it makes peace. It never judges according to circumstance, common sense, or reason.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 KJV

Life is about following the right “WHY?” When this becomes the priority, any “HOW” becomes bearable and often enjoyable. It’s not about winning or losing, getting bottom-line results, or reaching a final destination.

Life is about growing into our fullest perfect selves. It’s about gaining an increasingly better perspective and filling the void between what we see in God’s presence and where we currently find ourselves.

Life is counter-cultural and counter-intuitive. It is its own unique culture.

It’s not about taking what we need, but about waiting and rejoicing as God fulfills His own needs through us.

Life is about stringing together as many enjoyable moments into as many enjoyable hours, into as many enjoyable days as possible.

Life dances and worships while it works.

Life is about lifting and releasing and sharing and giving and blessing.

Through Christ, we are life, and our purpose is to share Him with as many people as possible.

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT that fulfills all commandments is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:30-31 KJV

  • Our Heart – Our motive (will) reveals who or what we worship.
  • Our Soul (mind and emotion) – expresses that devotion through words and actions that tell a story.
  • Our Strength – determines the source that empowers our worship (“what spirit” we are of).

GAP CROSSERS are on a journey of transformation of heart, soul, and strength so we can tell History (God’s story) accurately.

NOTHING IS WORSE THAN WASTED LIFE! If God exists, (and we are SURE that He does), it seems rational to conclude that He alone (as our Designer) is competent to define what success truly looks like.

NOTHING COULD BE MORE TRAGIC than investing your life’s energy into things that fail to fulfill God’s purpose and will for your life.

Wasted life is paramount to wasting His life.

The same ONE that gave us life, gave His Son’s life to ensure our success.

It’s fortunate that He cares enough to give us instructions on how to succeed in His eyes.

It’s unlikely, however, that we’ll hear these instructions if we’re passive about it.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33 KJV

According to the Bible, if we prioritize being in the “right relationship” with God, approaching Him His way (His Kingdom), everything else we NEED in life will be ADDED to us. That really ought to get our attention.

Could it get any easier? Success from God’s perspective is RELATIONAL.

We seek Him. He reveals where He is and what He wants us to do.

We obey through the ability and strength He offers. We see more clearly Who He is.

Ironically, we also learn more about who we are, and we go a little deeper into His blueprint for success.
